Mistake 1: Not shopping early enough

Every designer is different when it comes to production time. On average though, it’s recommended to start shopping for your dress at least 8-12 months in advance.

But alas, life is busy and plans can change. If you’re wedding day is creeping up and you still haven’t started looking- no worries. Off-the-rack gowns give brides in a time crunch a variety of contemporary (and discounted) styles to try and buy the same day.

At One Love, all of our gowns can be purchased and taken home the same day! Alterations usually take 8 weeks but some of our seamstresses can do rush alterations for an additional fee.

Mistake 2: Not being open-minded about the style

You might have that Pinterest look engrained in your head, but you’d be surprised how many brides end up trying on the dress they saw on Pinterest and not liking how it fits.

It’s smart to research different styles before your appointment, but try to stay open-minded and not get attached to one style. This can lead to disappointment, and there ain’t room for that while saying yes to the dress!

Mistake 3: Not being clear on your budget

When you make your appointment, let your bridal consultant know your budget so they can prepare a few sample dresses for you to try within a suitable price range.

You can also check out your local bridal outlet in Jacksonville. These sources have discounted dresses ready for purchase as bridal salons need to clear their showroom for new inventory.
